GO FOR IT!!!! One of the very few grass seeds that I have seen grow this fast. excellent grass seed quick growing, very thick. It has been 2 months and it has gotten below freezing most nights, it hasn’t fazed it one bit. I didn’t read user reviews before purchasing so I was disappointed to find that it’s the type of grass that’ll die off in the winter. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in s month. really does grow super fast. As for the shaded areas this lawn took off nicely and is doing well. Very pleased with this grass seed. Jonathan’s Heavy Traffic seed planted on March 28, 2017 grew well by 18 days (1st pic), but I overseeded with Jonathan’s Fast Grow seed on April 15 to get the fastest response possible. I love it! Wow. Grass sprouted after 3 days! The results are excellent by the way. This stuff is awesome. I tried this product on a whim. I put this down all over in spots where there wasn’t any grass- this came up in 2 days, nice and green thick and filled in ever spot super fast- since purchasing this ive bought jonathan green black beauty ultra to really thicken up the grass for a more stable long lasting yard- I did use wire fencing to keep the new seed from being walked on by the dogs, but this stuff is better than any seed, ie, scotts, pennigton, etc- buy this seed, follow the directions, they now have a customer for life. Three weeks later, 90% of the lawn is filled in. I laid it down heavy to choke out the weeds.. I don't know anything about ... Grass grew quickly but too many weeds were included. Yes it grow fast… I was reading the review it said yearly… I don’t know yet but anyway I am going to reseed the whole yard with Kentucky bluegrass anyway… It help me by killing all of the weed for now. My two little dogs run around and roll on it and my kiddos love it for somersaults (hopefully not right after the dogs have been about). I used my garden weasel to aerate a bald patch, threw this seed on, and made sure to keep it moist. Would definitely buy again as it came up quickly and flourished. That dimple! In any case, I’ve had four weeks to grow a new lawn from subsoil to serious foot traffic. Fast growing, but only in some spots like a bad combover for my yard. I just threw this stuff down and cpl weeks GRASS! Was sceptical but this stuff really works. We put down 5 cu yds of loam to cover the mess made after installing a geothermal heating / cooling system (including drilling of a 500 ft deep well) and to even out other areas of the yard. I’m crossing my fingers hoping that the grass will come back in the spring of next year. Great stuff. I had a few holes of dirt I filled in. I cupped my seed with a jerking motion and flung it around. I covered with a very thin layer of compost. I live in a pretty warm climate without much rain at all and a lot of sun. We are very pleased. It’s a very thin blade, so if you screw up the seeding, it’s pretty easy to tell. Bare soil can take a beating during storms, so quick growth was more important than a perennial mix in this case. But not all the seed started growing…only about 75% of the seed has started. Not due to seed lack of rain and watering restrictions will try in the fall. This mix provides ground cover and erosion control. One side of my lawn responded really well and I have a full lawn in less then a month. Worked amazingly well! Works as advertised. I will buy more in the future. In 6 days we started having lawn and in 10 there is a fresh area that looks like we laid down new sod. I’ve since ordered 6 more bags and will probably end up getting another 4 to fill in the spots I missed once all of it grows in and I can see where it is needed. Doesn’t seem very hearty and strong. It looks thin at the beginning, but it starts to get wider with time, so it blends in with older grass. It always does the trip! I used two 3-Pound bags for this project. I have pretty much desert dirt at my house and this still sprouted significant grass in about a week or two. Would definitely buy again and recommend. I’m sure if you are in the right zone it will be very nice. Ok so I was looking for fast growing and doesn’t requirer a lot of sun light and this grass seed does that. It being May, humidity starting in, I only watered first thing in the morning for about a week. Had grass in a week. For the price you can’t beet it. Just make sure to keep them nice and moist after you spread these seeds and make sure to not let the water puddle up because those puddles will move the seeds. We have had a lot of rain in the past two weeks witch also was a great help. I used them this fall in 60 degree weather and results of thick growth was up in about 7-10 days. It sprouts quickly, grows in thick and my cats love to lie on it and it keeps them from sitting on my tomato seedlings. Hoping the new grass develops a good root system for when the heat and humidity arrives. Yes it is annual and will need replanting next year but within 2.5 weeks on soil with very poor drainage and partial shade we have grass growing. This grass seed does germinate much faster and easier than most other grass that I have tried, however it is not as hearty once that it has germinated and requires much care and watering once it up. Having read many tips from the Jonathen Green website and other lawn sites I think that the key really is to keep the soil moist but not drowning and frequent watering seems to have done the trick. All I did was oversees my backyard with my fertilizer spreader, Then watered like normal. I threw this seed dow, no prep and we had had a lot of rain and in 4 days it exploded! I was very pleased! About half took to seed with daily watering. I used scott’s turf builder topsoil with it. They said to water generously for a week, but I did not have the time to do that. I did want to mention that I mixed 1 lb of their shady nooks version in one area as well hoping to increase the likely-hood of growing grass their to keep the soil from eroding by rain water. I almost planted sod but I wanted to give this a try. The grass seems healthy and is a vivid spring green. with 2 little dogs this grass seed works great, exactly follow the directions. Also, when I went to Lowes the attendant told me that I would need seed soil and a ground cover to put on top of the seeds. grass comes up thin and not as much as I would hope. 3rd bag. We planted it a month or so ago and it is already growing thick and lush. For a pH below 6.2 use Jonathan Green, to rapidly increase pH. Just a so so product, I had better luck with a product that comes from Canada. Works very fast. But I received the product in a timely manner just as indicated when I ordered and its a big bag that should go far in bringing my lawn back to life.
