Finally, after the disastrous, second TV interview she sends him a letter, one which Bojack really dreads to open. She probably just told him that she found out about what happened with Penny and her friends at prom, and that’s why she was avoiding him. She caps it off with "fuck you" and "beat it, Horseman."
A nasty letter that told Bojack "fuck off." Hollyhock stops answering his calls. BoJack explains that the letter is from Hollyhock and he can't open it because he's afraid she'll tell him she never wants to speak to him or see him again. BoJack goes on one last epic bender and, in the fantastic penultimate episode, we wonder if he’s dead as he eats dinner with dead friends and family members in some sort of existential purgatory. Hollyhock's letter was a scathing attack on Bojack for all his horrible actions, and she wants nothing to do with him anymore. BoJack then once again tries to call Hollyhock and then leaves her a voicemail and tells her he hasn't read her letter yet, but he will, and that it's nice to hear her voice eon her voicemail. A more polite letter saying she needs to "take a break" from Bojack.
After Hollyhock, BoJack's half-sister finds out that he got a teenage girl drunk and then just dumped her at the hospital with alcohol poisoning, she starts to avoid him.
When he finally does, Bojack is absolutely shattered and starts drinking again. Deep down, Hollyhock does love Bojack.
