Kali Holloway This five-man outfit from Atlanta never got the upper hand with Soul fans, despite creating songs that groove as much as those by any of their contemporaries. The Tams have had four #1 songs at the national, and international levels, as well as one major regional hit: What Kind of Fool – #1 R& B / #6 Top 40 (1963) – This was The Tams first national hit record, bringing them into the households of millions through a tremendous amount of airplay. The Tams' R&B tracks weave harmonies and jostliing rhythms in all the right places. THE TAMS have been entertaining and thrilling audiences for over 50 years! A number of the group's hits later re-emerged on the U.K. charts: "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy," which made the Top 40 in 1970, and "Hey Girl Don't Bother Me," which topped the charts in 1971.
